Ypres is a land city located in a straigth plain arriving North Sea coast in Flandra. The commerce ports near Ypres are around (Dünkırk,Furnes, Nieuport, Oostende and Bruges before its port not filling with mud) the city like circle and its half radius is 60 km.

It is a coastal city of Belgium nearby English Channel and its area is 37.72 km and its population is 68.931 people. Therefore it is the largest town of the coast. Oostende is the nearest point between Belgium and England and there is an immediate ferryboat. Coast was raised against the because of it is a port city. Especially in summer time the city has a lot of English daily visitors. It is famous with its sauced fried chicken.

The houses which we drawed when we are younger are everywhere of the city.

Knokke-Heist is one of the center that attracting tourists. It is a city that has a coast length and rural charm. The city offer service with its well prepeared hotels, villas, apartments and holiday villages to tourists coming from neighbourhood.

Knokke-Heist, take a location on Belgium’s North coastal strip, attracts thousands of tourists evey year. Knokke-Heist is a city which has a view of panoramic with its historical places, stunning rural scenes. Actually Knokke-Heist is not a suitable place for passing throgh to Holland after visiting the city.


Han-Sur-Lesse

Han-Sur-Lesse is a place located Belgium’s Valon region. The nearest city is Namur (55 km) to there. Han-Sur-Lesse is 170 km away from Aachen, 200 km away from Köln, 125 km away from Maastricht. Brussels, Belgium’s capital, was set up on Sen River Valley. As well as is one of the Belgium’s federal region’s, Belgium Region’s, capital. Above all it is the center of many international organizations like AT and NATO. Its national languages are French and Flemish but generally French. Brussels has a population about 1.2 million.

The tourists coming Brussels first visiting place certainly is Grand Place. Grand Place is the life vessel of Brussels. The flower carpet, being set up in different terms, attracts big attention.

Brussel is one of the capital legally in the worl having two languages. Most of the Belgians are catholic and despite the decrease about going to church religious tradition, religion is giving taste to the daily life. The architecture having curly lines was begun by Victor Horta and Henri van de Velde in that century. Horta was known with its studies at interiors and he made curly studies on the ceiling against the straight lines. Belgium’s food is liked all over the Europe, also they say it is the second after French cooking. Belgium cooking is mixed of both French and German style having the main materials as meat and sea products.


Brugge

Brugge, being different from other Europe cities, has lesser tourists and it is a silent, calm city. If you want to rest in a calm, green area for a few days, especially wanting to loose the time concept, the route is certain.

Brugge is the capital of West Vlaanderen City in Belgium’s Flemish region. It is a romantic city, especially chosen by new engaged couples, with its middle aged architecture ( it was protected beause of not getting harm in Worl War II), various of chocolates, lacy (the other name is sister work), its channels and Belgium beer (it shows variety wtih its color, taste and presentation style).


Antwerpen

It is the biggest city of Belgium’s Flaman region and the third biggest port city of the world. As well as Esko river’s being, passing through the city, get 350 km in the city makes the big ships travelling freely in that port possible. No bridges have been built on the river not to hurdle ships’ transition headway. It is the biggest city after the capital Brussels in Belgium. Antwerpen’s total population is 472.000. The city’s foundation is estimated b.c. 200 for archeological diggings. It was the europe’s commercial center in the 14th century and first class world city in 1406. Even Florence Lodovico Guicciardini’s words, “The World’s Most Beautiful City”, show the point of importance of the city.
